The website itself tackles the 12 principles of animation including 3 extra subjects to assist with understanding. As a beginner try to tackle one at a time utilizing whatever medium you feel comfortable with, your goal will likely be to understanding. As a more experience animator, try to go back to basics and experiment and get out of your comfort zone and expand your understanding.
